Thanksgathering held over the weekend

The annual Thanksgathering was held on November 21 at the Verndale Family Life Church. The annual celebration featured members from VFLC, United Methodist Church, Verndale Alliance Church and St. Frederick's Catholic Church coming together to give thanks as well as a message of thanks from Verndale Mayor Tara Erckenbrack. There was also the annual pie contest where nine homemade pies were judged by five judges, Wayne Stave, Matt Uselman, John Rousslang, Megan Baity, and Dan Fisher. Third place went to Cindy Raney, second place was Kelly Mount and first place with a Twix Pie was Xander Kjeldergaard. See our print edition for more photos from the event.
