The Lady Tigers stayed focused, battled and came out on top

by Coach Mary Irsfeld

Homecoming week for the Tigers did not disappoint. Despite all the hoopla that Homecoming brings, the Tigers stayed focused and battled.

Taking down the Menahga Braves was first on their agenda. It took five games but the Tigers came out victorious 3-2 (25-23, 25-17, 21-25, 19-25, 15-9).

Menahga’s size put a damper on our offense. Their block frustrated us and we struggled a bit with our block coverage. But, like always, the girls didn’t let Menahga’s big blocks take the game over and they found a way to score.

Offensively, we really need to move the ball around more. We were a little too predictable and we just couldn’t find our flow. . .
