The Staples Area Men’s Chorus has been performing for over 50 years.

Although some of the faces have changed over the years, several of the “long in the tooth” members are still active.

Pat Lunemann who has been performing with the group for 43 years—since 1981—is one of those who is still active.

“As long as your voice still works, you can do it,” said Lunemann.

“Our bodies go, but our voices last a long time,” he added.

So it is with the older generation of singers in the group. There are performers from all ages in the chorus, though, and that helps keep the group lively and fun....
