Three-year-old dies in farm accident
On March 18, at 3:42 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a farm accident that occurred at a residence on County Road 11 in Bartlett Township.
It was reported that a three-year-old male had been run over by a skid loader working on the property.
Hewitt Rescue and Bertha Ambulance arrived and treated the victim at the scene. The victim was later transported by ambulance to the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena where he was pronounced deceased.
The operator of the skid loader was a family member of the victim.
The Verndale Police Department and Wadena County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
The incident is currently under investigation.
The victim was identified as Elliot Jares, son of Jason and Amy Jares.
