Tigers get pecked by the Cardinals, smack the Hornets

We knew going into this game that there would be a lot of learning and growth involved this season after losing so much experience after last year.

With a very young team and not a lot of returning varsity players, we were excited to get the season started, but ready to tackle the learning that was going to need to happen.

The Tigers opened up their first game of the season against the Cardinals from Staples-Motley.

The Cardinals came out with a lot more experienced players, and it showed. The girls worked very hard, but were unable to overcome a first half deficit and Staples-Motley walked away with the first game win of the season.

Leading scores for the Tigers were Lydia Reed with 10 points and 6 other Tigers chipped in under the scoring column as well.

The Tigers had a quick turnaround the following night hosting their first game of the season with Henning being their opponent....
