Tigers have busy week on the books
by Coach Mary Isfeld
The Tigers had a busy week on the books, but a postponement of the Sebeka game, originally scheduled for Monday, gave them an extra practice day and the Tigers took advantage.
On Tuesday the girls were back on the road to face the Royals of Royalton, coming away with a 3-0 win (25-14, 25-19, 25-17). Once again the Tigers took advantage of their great ball control to thwart the Royals' attack and keep balls alive. This team is nothing if not relentless on defense.
Leading the way on defense was Anna Myers with 20 digs, followed by Libero Leona May and Lauren Schnettler with 13 and 12 digs each. At the service line, Schnettler, Madeline Irsfeld and Grace Lorentz all had perfect nights with Schnettler picking up 2 aces. Senior setter Tyra Myers paced the offense with 21 assists, with Irsfeld (11) and Schnettler (10) leading the way in kills. . .
