Tigers season comes to an end in Belgrade
by Coach Wayne Petermeier
The Tigers’ season came to an end in Belgrade this past Saturday.
The past two weeks saw the Tigers win two games in six days and finally lose their last game of the season.
Two convincing wins vs. LPGE and then a loss to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. The last game of the regular season and the first round of the play-offs were mirror image games as Browerville-Eagle Valley went up against the Thunder from LPGE.
Both of these games were played in Browerville and the outcomes were about the same.
The Tigers would have some big plays on offense and kept the Thunder under wraps for most of the game. We were able to sustain drives on offense with key runs set up by good line play.
We controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and our backs ran hard. We tackled very well in both of those victories.
On Saturday, the Tigers traveled to Belgrade to face the Jaguars from BBE. This was a day of one team just being better than the other.
BBE has a complete and talented team from top to bottom. They really have everything to make one of the best teams in class 1A football. They have size, speed, and athleticism at multiple positions. They are well coached and play with discipline....
