Tigers take Prairie Conference championship

Browerville/Eagle Valley 47, Nevis 61

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers traveled to Nevis to take on the #1 team in Section 5A West last week. The Tigers from Nevis played a consistent game and dominated the inside with 18 points and 19 rebounds from Alex Lester. Nevis also pulled in 19 offensive rebounds.

The Tigers jumped out early behind the shooting of Miguel Maloney and Hans Puck and put together a nice first half. Other than a quick little stretch when Nevis’s pressure caused the Tigers to turn over the ball three times, B/EV’s offense was able to put points on the board.

The halftime score was 32 apiece. Browerville/Eagle Valley was led by Maloney’s 11 points. . .
