Tigers take the sting out of the Yellowjackets

by Coach Jeff Myers

On May 11, the Browerville/Eagle Valley softball team played their last Prairie Conference game of the year as they traveled to Upsala to play a “home” game against the Cardinals.

The Tigers were forced to move the game to Upsala because of unplayable conditions on the Browerville field.

The majority of the game was a pitcher’s duel as it was a 0-1 ball game going into the 6th inning.

In the 6th, the Cardinals struck for 4 runs with 2 outs to put the Tigers away by a final of 0-5.

B/EV had plenty of runners on base but mental mistakes and the lack of a clutch hit contributed to the loss. . .
