Tigers win two in four game week—very close loses

The Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers had a busy week of games last week. They traveled to Pine River on Monday, played at home Tuesday against Wadena-Deer Creek, went to Upsala on Thursday, and then to Belgrade on Saturday.
Browerville/Eagle Valley - 88, Pine River-Backus - 58
The Tigers dominated this game, breaking out to a 19 to 2 lead and 53 to 28 halftime score.
B/EV’s Jayden Schultz tossed in 22 first half points. But it was the Tigers defense causing all the troubles for PR-B. The Tigers outrebounded them and also forced 32 turnovers while committing only 15. B/EV pushed their lead to as much as 35 points and ended the game with a thirty point win.

Tuesday night was parent’s night for the Browerville/Eagle Valley Tigers.
The two teams traded baskets for the opening 5 minutes, and the score was 13 - 15 in favor of W-DC.
The Wolverines went on a 4 ½ minute run to increase their lead to nine points. Over the final 7 minutes of the half, The Tigers would get things going and outscore the Wolverines 16 to 6 for a one point advantage at the half, 30 - 29.
Browerville/Eagle Valley scored the first 11 points of the second half, and went on to outscore W-DC 22 to 8 opening up a 52 - 37 lead.
The Tigers defensive outburst was led by Tavin Benning who was responsible for 3 turnovers by the Wolverines and also scored 9 of the Tigers first 14 points. B/EV put up 47 second half points and finished with a 77 - 55 victory.
