Todd County Board of Commissioners: Approve increase for museum

After hearing from the Todd County Historical Society during their previous board meeting, the commissioners approved a request to increase their annual appropriation to $15,000.
Background: The Todd County Board of Commissioners has budgeted an annual appropriation to the Todd County Historical Society (TCHS) in the amount of $8500, as outlined in the March 1, 2006 lease agreement. TCHS requested an increase in their 2023 appropriation, for a total of $15,000/year due to increased operating and maintenance costs, and significant reductions in admissions, grant writing and traditional fundraising events due to COVID-19.
The board had approved a one-time use of ARP funds for 2023 in the amount of $6500 in addition to the annual appropriation. . .
