Todd County Board of Commissioners: Audit shows county is doing ok

Chairman Rod Erickson was absent from the regular meeting of the Todd County Board of Commissioners on May 3. Commissioner Randy Neumann acted as chair for the meeting.

Doug Host, Certified Public Accountant for CliftonLarsonAllen, reported on the county’s audit which was recently completed.

He reported that all of the major funds had strong fund balances.

The key findings for the major funds were:

-General Fund’s Fund Balance as of year‐end is above the OSA recommended minimum level and is trending upward

-Public Works’ Fund Balance is just above the State Auditor’s recommended minimum fund balance levels.

-Community Health Fund and Social Services Fund are both above the minimum State Auditor’s recommended Fund Balance level

-Solid Waste Fund relatively stable over past five years . . .
