Todd County Board of Commissioners: Commissioners Approve Funding; Law Enforcement, and Solid Waste get funds

During the Tuesday, March 4, Todd County Commissioner meeting department heads presented budgeted items to be approved. This included awarding the 2025 bituminous highway construction bid to Mark Sand and Gravel Co. for $4,113.309.75. The proposed 2025 bituminous projects include CSAH 3 from CSAH 28 to TH 71, CSAH 22 from West County Line to TH 71, CR 73 from TH 210 to County line, CR 78 from CSAH 22 to CSAH 11 and various county roads for patching aggregating shoulders of the road.

The commissioners approved budgeted equipment items for the Solid Waste Department with funds coming from the Enterprise fund. The Enterprise fund consists of solid waste revenue and $1,000,000 ARPA funds received from the federal government to be used to purchase improvement equipment. New equipment will be needed for the new transfer station under construction as the existing equipment will not operate in the new facility. The equipment purchases included a Western Star 47X semi tractor for $154,448.10 from Boyer Truck and two walking floor trailers for $250,484 from North American Trailer....
