Todd County Board of Commissioners: Routine meeting held, active work session followed
by Karin L. Nauber
The regular meeting of the Todd County Board of Commissioners was held on April 19 at the Todd County fair Expo Center.
The regular meeting went quietly with several resolutions passed but the work session was lively. (See separate story.)
The rehearing for Lakeside Acres First Addition Preliminary Plat was removed from the agenda. No follow-up date was provided.
Actions
• The board approved the consent agenda which included approving the April 5 meeting minutes; approved the hire of Travis Moller (start early June) and Jaden Evenson (start early May) as public works summer help; hired Suzanne Bertrand as planning and zoning specialist; and accepted the resignation of Assistant County Attorney Heidi Schultz as of April 6.
• Reaffirmed the existing Todd County Commissioner District’s composition for the 2022 election cycle forward to comply with the April 26 statutory deadline for adoption.
In other words, the districts remain the same and did not change significantly enough from the results of the 2020 census to require changing the lines. . .
