Todd County Commissioners: Solid Waste changes anticipated to be $4.1 million over original cost

The new Transfer Station building design is about 90% complete. The consultant provided an updated cost estimate.
The original cost estimate in 2020 was $5.5 million.
Not surprisingly, the updated cost estimate in December was $9.6 million. The design committee has worked on several options to respond to this change.
Solid Waste Director Chris McConn met with the design committee on February 3 to discuss these options.
“We have alternates in the bidding process but if the bids came in lower, we could do the alternates,” said McConn. . .
