Todd County Foster Closet off to a great start

Owner of Prairie Pharmacy in Long Prairie Kristie Giesler followed her heart when researching a way to help foster and adoptive parents meet the basic needs of their children.
She has a passion for paying it forward by helping others in need. Her personal experience as a foster parent is what prompted her to reach out to the community in Todd County.
After researching the Grant and Douglas County Foster Closet Projects, Giesler pursued her dream and chose to open the Todd County Foster Closet.
While fostering children Giesler found several of the children she provided for arrived at her home with only the clothes on their backs. She found herself going out at all hours of the day to purchase things like socks, underwear, shoes, and clothes. . .
