In spite of their tremendous efforts to help assure that all eligible citizens in Todd County were able to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations, Todd County has still fallen a little short compared to other counties in the state of Minnesota.

In fact, they are the least vaccinated county in the state.

Todd County Health and Human Services Division Director Jackie Och said of the situation, “I believe, as a local public health department, we have done an exceptional job outreaching the citizens of Todd County. Now it comes down to client choice. Public health will continue to educate, offer vaccines and resources along with working with our healthcare partners and schools to vaccinate all persons eligible. Our efforts will continue as long as there is a need!”

According to an article that was published on June 28 from 96.7 The River radio station and written by Laura Bradshaw, “This COVID vaccine has been a bit of a controversial topic, much like the virus was during quarantine, lockdowns and every other ‘safety’ protocol that was implemented.”

That is nearly an understatement. . .
