Unearned runs cost Flyers the win

On Saturday, May 13, the Clarissa Area Flyers took on the Midway Snurdbirds in a Hi-10 Vs. Lake and Pine match up.
Browerville native Mitch Johnson took the bump for the home team nine and kept the Flyers in contention through five innings of work, only allowing one earned run.
Adam Riedel relieved Johnson in the sixth inning giving up the Snurdbirds final two unearned runs.
Untimely walks and too many fielding errors contributed to eight unearned runs resulting in a Snurdbirds win by the score of 9-8.
Offensively, the Flyers battled from behind throughout the contest, but the team couldn’t string together enough hits consecutively to mount a sufficient charge as they stranded six runners over the course of the game. . .
