The Verndale City Council held their regular meeting on November 14.
Concerns Over Snow And Ice Removal Ordinance
Lynn Crawley shared her concerns with the city council over Ordinance 93. She was concerned that she would be charged regardless if the snow/ice was removed or not from her sidewalk.
Council Member Tony Stanley explained the snow has to be removed within 24 hours from when it stops snowing.
She was also concerned with a nuisance letter she received over the summer about her yard. The council explained it was a general letter sent out to everybody, and not just her. If it was her yard it would have specified her name and the issues with the yard.
Crawley said she was informed by five different residents to not go to the council meeting as the council would retaliate. The council said that wasn’t true.
They will not charge anyone if the city does not clean the sidewalk. . .
