Verndale City Council: Verndale Lions and city consider joint office space in new community center

The Verndale City Council held its regular meeting on Monday, May 13. Members Jim Runyan and Daryl Jacobson were absent.
Community Center
The Lions were approached as the city might be interested in putting offices and the police department in the new community center building. They had a plan drawn up, which, if the city’s interested, they’d like to have a couple of people be on the committee with the Lions.
The council said they hadn’t decided yet and would still have to determine what that would cost. They may have a work session with the community to share their needs and options. The Lions are working on their plans, which will take time. Once those plans are completed, they can apply for grants....
