Verndale girls take one for the week

In their final Park Region Conference game of the season, the Verndale Pirates lost to the Sebeka Trojans 43-50 on Monday, February 20.

The Trojans jumped out to an early lead and led 27-16 at halftime.

The Pirates struggled to hit baskets against the zone defense.

When the Trojans matched up, Verndale was able to get the ball inside as Katie Blaha finished with 15 points. Reagan Ludovissie had 19 points. Olivia Stanley grabbed 8 rebounds and had 2 blocks. . .
