Administrative Reports
Greg Johnson, dean of students and activities director, said they have 10-15 students and a few adults interested in boys and girls cross country that haven’t been participating in a different fall sport. They could still get registered for a team next fall. They can compete without a full team and he believes it would be in their best interest to compete on their own. They would have to hire coaches for the boys' and girls' teams. Cost estimates are $3089 for coaches, $1000 for uniforms, and $1000 for entry fees. Transportation would be a coach driving a mid-bus. Approved to pursue cross country.
The spring sports softball team is sub-section champions. Baseball ended with a 5-12 record. Carter White is going to the State Golfing Tournament. The marching band is back in action. Camps have begun as well as summer rec. Fall sports begin on August 16.
Principal Katie Bolland shared activity day was a huge success and was well enjoyed by the upperclassmen. All 30 seniors graduated.
Report cards have been sent and referrals made to ALC for credit recovery for those that need it. She is waiting to hear back on potential hires for English and special ed teachers.
Superintendent Paul Brownlow said that ending enrollment was 501. Summer programs are in full swing and the building is full of students. . .
