Verndale/Wadena Speech Team Shines at Glenwood Meet

The Verndale/Wadena Speech Team traveled to Glenwood on Saturday, February 1 to compete in the annual speech competition where they showcased exceptional talent.
The team’s achievements included multiple finalists and one honor finalist across various categories.
Gage Morthberg earned 5th place Honor Final in the Humor category, while Ally Morthberg secured 5th in Storytelling. Chloe and Cadie Leeseberg took 3rd in the Duo category, and Enoch Horton also took 3rd in Discussion. Jadyn Larson rounded out the strong performances with a 3rd place finish in Drama.
In addition to individual honors, the Verndale/Wadena team was named First Place Champions for the Small School Award, a testament to their dedication and teamwork.
The team’s success at this meet highlights the hard work and commitment of each member, and they continue to represent their schools with pride and excellence in the competitive speech world.
