Veterans Day recognized at the Bertha-Hewitt School

The Bertha-Hewitt School held their annual Veterans Day program in the 2000 gym on Thursday, November 11. The students, faculty, and several Veterans were in attendance.
The program began with the Presentation of Colors by the Bertha American Legion William Larson Post 366, followed by an opening prayer recited by Butch Rice, a member of William Larson Post 366.
Darren Glynn, Bertha-Hewitt School principal, welcomed everyone in attendance.
Sixth-grade student Aislinn Brown of Mrs. Riewer’s class read a tribute about Veterans Day titled The Noble and the Brave written by Joanna Fuchs. This was followed by The Star-Spangled Banner played by the junior and senior band directed by Aaron Paulson. . .
