Wadena County Commissioners: 4-H Program Sees 26% Enrollment Increase!

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on April 4.

Extension Educator Kim Dailey provided an update on the Wadena County 4-H program.
Dailey developed a brochure for new families. They can participate in one project area or many.
There is over 40,000 youth in the state in 4-H. Wadena had 263 youth enrolled, which was up 26 percent from last year, with 71 new members.
The campaign this year was to entice first-generation 4-Hers, those whose family has never been a part of the program. They had 37 first-generations enrolled.
Their camp was moved from Park Rapids to Fosston, which is not very convenient for their younger members who may have never had an overnight stay before. . .
