The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on September 20. Commissioner Sheldon Monson was absent.

Tax Disparity

Commissioner Murlyn Kreklau and County Coordinator Ryan Odden presented at the AMC meeting about the tax disparity affecting Wadena and other counties. Odden had sent information to other counties beforehand. Kreklau shared it was a spirited discussion with interest before and after the meeting.

Kreklau explained there is an opportunity to move the discussion down the road as a group of 17 counties are facing the same issues and would like to pursue it further as a high-priority legislative issue. . .
