Wadena County Commissioners: Discussion focused on STS building in Eagle Bend

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on November 7.
STS Building Update
Kathy Langer, director of Todd-Wadena Community Corrections, gave an update to the commissioners. Bids to rebuild the Eagle Bend building were opened on October 27. The lowest bid came in at $853,785.
The most recent estimate from MCIT’s adjuster lists the replacement cost value at $666,076. The difference between the bid cost and insurance replacement cost value is $187,709.
MCIT and the adjuster have since been asked to review construction and bid documents, and determine whether they can adjust the replacement cost value and contribute more funding now that they have an actual bid to go by....
