The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on April 19.

Commissioner Redistricting

A public hearing was held in Sebeka that included much discussion about the options of redistricting. There was a consensus to make the top three townships, Blueberry, Shell, and Huntersville, to be part of District 5. The population in those areas is increasing. The new districts were approved.

Soil and Water Conservation Watershed Update

Darren Newville is working on an agreement for services with East Otter Tail to supply support and staffing for the Wadena SWCD. They have been doing this for several years. They sell 60-70,000 trees per year, as well. . .
