The board discussed options with Liza Donabauer with DDA (David Drown Associates) about the plan to look for a new county administrator.
Donabauer explained they are looking at a four-week job posting after the first of the year. The process would bring them into early March before they hire a new administrator.
The commissioners asked if they could look back at the previous nine semi-finalists and see if any of them would be interested in another interview. If there isn’t a large enough candidate pool to select from, they can begin the advertising process for new applicants.
Commissioner Bill Stearns added that he didn’t want DDA to start anything until the first of the year, so it gave them time to look at things. They will have a new board in January, and he wants them to make the decision. The board agreed to wait until January and asked for the previous finalists’ resumes....
