Wadena County Commissioners: Life 101 is needed to teach life and social skills

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on August 16. Commissioner Bill Stearns was absent.

Regional Mental Health

Project Coordinator

Jennifer Westrum, Human Services director, followed up with commissioners after the work session discussion on a Regional Mental Health Project Coordinator from the previous week. The requested $35,000 would have to be figured into the 2024 budget. She had originally asked for ARPA funds but the board considered using MCIT funds instead.

The commissioners would be voting for paying their share of one year for the position.

Commissioner Murlyn Kreklau was concerned about the budget but he would support this if it was only one year. . .
