Wadena County Commissioners: Preliminary budget and tax levy are not well received

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on September 6. Commissioner Bill Stearns was absent.
Community Watch Signs
Bill Hess of Wing River Township belongs to a community watch and wanted to make the group more public to deter criminal activity. They would like to put up a highway sign or adopt a highway sign to help with exposure for the group.
Wadena County doesn’t have an Adopt A Highway program. Hess contacted Otter Tail County to get information on their program that he presented to the Wadena County Commissioners to look into starting a program. Otter Tail County budgets $10,000 per year for this program to pay for the signs and garbage disposal. . .
