Human Services Performance
Human Services Director Jennifer Westrum submitted a report for their 2021 performance data which included working on improvements the last two years, and they’ve seen positive change.
In 2019 Wadena County was 88.2 percent for timely investigating child protection complaints. They are now at 97.7 percent.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the team at human services for making sure these things are happening,” said Westrum.
Intakes continue to be stable, with a decrease in out-of-home placement days and rates. They have found ways to safely intervene with families and those children to keep them in the home. . .
