Salaries for appointed officials

Sheriff Mike Carr Jr. shared some information with the commissioners. He has been in law enforcement for 29 years, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal science, he has leadership skills and specialized training, has an extensive background of experience and oversees a 24/7-365 day operation. Carr has been elected for five terms. He receives just over 50 percent of market value. Carr explained he should be making around $134,710 if he were to keep up with his fellow elected officials....
