Wadena County Commissioners: STS building is severely damaged by tornado

The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on June 7.
Storm Damage
County Coordinator Ryan Odden showed pictures of the storm damage to the Sentence to Serve (STS) building in Eagle Bend that was destroyed by the tornado on Memorial Day.
Kathy Langer, with Todd-Wadena Community Corrections, reviewed the damage to the building. The roof of the building was ripped off and the front of the building was blown out.
Electrical, power tools and equipment were soaked. The building is insured for $482,000. MCIT would pay 125 percent of that for a total of $602,000. Contents were $49,000. . .
