Wadena County Commissioners: Vaccination mandate “needles” some people
by Trinity Gruenberg
The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on January 3. Commissioner Sheldon Monson left early for another mandatory meeting.
Following the commissioner's traditions, Jon Kangas was elected board chair and Mike Weyer is vice-chair.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Mandate Policy
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on vaccination and testing for employers with 100 or more employees.
The proposed Wadena County policy would have all employees who report to the office at least once per week will either receive a full vaccination or will need to complete weekly COVID-19 testing.
If employees are unvaccinated, they are required to perform weekly COVID-19 testing as well as wear a mask during work shifts on or in county property.
Vaccination status, including proof of vaccination, would be required no later than January 10. . .
