Chris Buhl-Petron held the book she wrote about her relatives that were involved in a plane crash in Browerville in 1934. The book was a process of years of research.

You could say that all of her life was preparing Christine “Chris” Buhl-Petron for writing her first book “When Dreams Die: A Plane Crash in 1934.”

From her youngest memories, she was interested in her family’s history.

“I would pull out the Buhl family tree book and look at it when I was a kid,” she said.

She was very interested in the Buhl family history.

“The idea was planted since I was little,” she said.

During her youth, the idea of writing a book about her family history didn’t really enter her mind much but this was a story waiting to be written.

It is the story of her relatives—Andrew and Peter Buhl—and the story of how a plane crash changed their lives.

“This was a story waiting to be written. But it took a long time,” said Chris. . .
