White is Class AA State Champion

It’s the love of the game that motivates and drives Carter White of Verndale to be the champion golfer that he is.
It is that same passion for the game that pushes him as he strives for his dream of being a golf pro.
It was that drive that awarded his hard work with a first-place finish at the State AA golf championship this season.
White and his cousin Mallory Uselman are both Verndale students who play on the paired golf team with the Staples-Motley Cardinals.
They both joined the team the same year—when White was a 7th grader and Uselman was an 8th grader.
Uselman was often the lone girl on the team, but this year there were four girls on the team. . .
