White secures his future at NDSU

Verndale golf prodigy Carter White has officially committed to North Dakota State University (NDSU) on National Signing Day, November 13, stepping into his future with an athletic scholarship.
NDSU, located in Fargo, ND, stands as a beacon of opportunity for the young golfer who has been pursued by colleges across several states since recruiters could first contact him beginning in June 2023.
White had been recruited by multiple colleges including ones from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Michigan and Iowa that were interested in him.
White’s skill on the greens caught the eyes of many, but it was the Bison’s coach who made a resonant impact.
“After observing Carter at several tournaments, including one in August, I knew he was the right fit for our program,” said the NDSU coach who offered him the scholarship the day after watching him play.
White accepted the offer the following morning, solidifying his verbal commitment to the university.
White expressed his enthusiasm about joining the top ranks of college athletes at a Division 1 school. “I am very excited to play college golf at the highest level. It has been my goal since I was young. NDSU has always been my top choice,” he shared....
