Wolves gymnastics wraps up the season

The gymnastics team wrapped up their season on February 15 at the Section meet in Melrose following their Conference meet the week before on February 6 where they team beat out Paynesville to place 7th of 8 teams. LPGE-B lands in a tough conference and section with several of the teams they compete against ranking in the top 10 in the state.

This season the team again experienced tons of growth and reached new goals. They were consistently in the 115’s to 118’s throughout the season and earned a season high score of 120.10 - the highest recorded score in approximately a decade for the local program.

They experienced one mid-season injury that took out their only junior for the remainder of the season but otherwise stayed generally healthy.

Without Maddie Albers the team counted on new gymnasts to the program to fill their final varsity spot.

Senior Kailee Sandbakken led the way for the Wolves throughout the season earning All-Conference Honorable Mention by finishing within the top 15 gymnasts in West Central Conference. She presented strongly on every event at every meet....
