It has been an eventful summer for Carter White, age 17, of Verndale and a senior at the Verndale School.
In one of his most recent feats, White claimed the Warrior Cup on Monday, August 19.
The Warrior Cup for youth ages 16-19 is a prestigious and sought after award for youth golfers.
This year the cups for 16 to 19-year-olds were won by White (boys) and Carmen Jirele (girls). Carter won by two shots with a score of -3, 69. Carmen won by four with a score of -3, 70.
The Warrior Cup is an invite only tournament. It is the MN Jr PGA end of the year championship. White is a member of the MN Jr PGA.
He played in six tournaments this summer and won all of them. If you win a tournament then you get invited to this championship tournament at the end of the year.
