Zins joins pro football team in Finland

by Trinity Gruenberg

Verndale graduate Seth Zins has fulfilled his dream of being able to play professional football. But he won’t be playing in the U.S.

Zins flies out on May 4 to Finland where he will join his new team, the Seinäjoki Crocodiles, for one season.

“I spent the last two years learning German, and here I am going to Finland,” chuckled Zins.

He has been talking to the team since February.

He also had another workout opportunity with the Cowboys, but his agent considered Zins a high-risk free agent as he hasn’t played in two seasons. He would have to foot the bill himself to train with the team which he could not afford for the Cowboys or any other NFL team.

“The thought had crossed my mind to stop playing but it’s been a part of me for so long I can’t let it go,” said Zins. . .
