Sweat rainbows: First annual Pink Flamingos color run
by Trinity Gruenberg
The Pink Flamingos of Eagle Bend will be holding their first annual 5K color run at Nelson Park on June 17.
The Pink Flamingos are a community group that raises money to help families in need when they are impacted by cancer.
“We may help give rides to and from doctors appointments, pay lodging expenses, gas money for travel or whatever needs may come up. We also take part in the Todd Could Relay for Life Walk and donate money to them,” said Volunteer Jackie Lorentz.
They were founded 10 years ago by local cancer survivor Sandy Baso. The group also puts together the annual golf tournament and Relay for Life Walk in Todd County.
