Come for the service, stay for the pie. The annual Thanksgathering was held on Sunday, November 18 hosted by the Verndale Family Life Church.
Area churches including St. Fredrick’s Catholic Church, United Methodist Church, Verndale Alliance Church and the Verndale Family Life Church joined together for this annual event and pie contest.
Along with welcomes and testimonies of thanks, Deb Nelson of the Verndale Area Food Shelf, shared they are down $3000 and are seeking donations during this holiday season. Area pastors including Darrel Jacobson, Ken Uhren, and Amos Self shared messages of thanks. Verndale Alliance Church and Verndale Family Life Church children combined to sing Thank God for Something. . . .
