On June 2 at 5:53 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a one vehicle accident rollover that occurred on Thunder Road west of Staples in Staples Township, Section 8.

    Amber Cloutier, 23, of Hewitt was driving a 1998 Dodge Durango eastbound on Thunder Road when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the road on the right side and rolled over multiple times. 

​

    Cloutier was transported to the Staples Hospital and later airlifted to North Memorial Hospital for further treatment for her injuries. 

​

    Passenger Joseph Stricherz, 27, of Hewitt, was transported to the Staples Hospital and later airlifted to North Memorial Hospital for further treatment for his injuries. 

​

    A juvenile passenger, Jacob Freyholtz, of Bertha, was transported to the Staples Hospital and was later airlifted to Children’s Hospital for further treatment for his injuries.
