On June 15, at approximately 11:29 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a death at 7439 Thoennes Lane, Parkers Prairie in rural Douglas County. 

Deputies responded to the scene and spoke with family members present. Deputies located the deceased male, Craig Thoennes, 41, near a shed in the cow yard with two cows and a bull also present and roaming free in the yard.

The deceased was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and cause of death determination. At this time, it appears the male had been trampled by the bull and/or cows.
