The annual Walk the Plank fundraier was held on October 18 at the Verndale School. Elementary students enjoyed a variety of games including tug of war, pumpkin toss, sack races, football toss, bug (candy)eating contest, a stroll around the track, walking the plank and more. The school gathered on the football field and spelled out “VPS” for a picture. Contest winners were: First prize - Bryce Pickar, fourth grade, overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express and four passes to the Three Bear Water

The annual Walk the Plank fundraier was held on October 18 at the Verndale School. The school gathered on the football field and spelled out “VPS” for a picture. Contest winners were: First prize - Bryce Pickar, fourth grade, overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express and four passes to the Three Bear Water Park in Baxter. Second prize - Walker Tupper, first grade, and Owen Weiher, second grade received new bikes. Third prize - Hannah Bartylla, sixth grade, and Zain Waldahl, fourth grade received a $50 gift card. Fourth prize - Mia Arroyo, fifth grade and Tyson Fisher, kindergarten, won movie passes to the Cozy Theater in Wadena. Walk the Plank raised approximately $7,600.
